Once again, the Fischer RC One 86GT fooled testers into thinking it was made to carve, but once the testers took it beyond the groomed terrain, it exceeded expectations in the choppy snow and moguls of Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon. But that doesn’t mean it couldn’t rip trenches in the groomed stuff, too. “For such a carver-looking ski, it holds up fantastic in the crud,” comments tester Otto Gibbons. “Easy to rail a turn while only asking for moderate tip engagement. The ski can absolutely trench and arc in a variety of sizes.”
